Buffet en bois de noyer Quadrant

This sideboard was disappointing on a few levels. I had my eye on this piece for a while and despite the expense decided to purchase it as a statement/investment piece. I am not sure why it is a $5k piece of furniture, to be honest. It is solidly built but the color is not at all what I was expecting based on the photos. Even the photo I posted doesn't quite show what it looks like in person. The wood tone clashed with my dining table rather than complementing the color. Also, the doors were very difficult to close. They are push close/open and I had to push them just right in order to get them to close again after opening them. Sadly, I returned and found a better replacement.

This piece exceeded my expectations. The weight and the quality of this sideboard is 5 star. Wood grain is beautiful like a light french oak.
