We would love to give this bed a good rating, however the overall experience with Wayfair has been awful. I never write reviews, but I am for this because it’s so disappointing. The bed took long enough to get to us after originally ordering. The day we received it we took down our old frame and started setting up the new one. That’s when we discovered that out of the two boxes they sent us only one of them was the correct bed. So now we have a headboard for the bed we ordered and all the other pieces for a completely different bed. Now we are sleeping on a mattress on the ground (while I’m 8 months pregnant). The next morning I call to figure out how to get the correct 2nd box and it takes forever and I have to sit there and list off all the pieces missing. It has now been 10 days and we still do not have confirmation that the missing parts have even been shipped. Once shipped it could be another week still. Despite calling almost daily, Wayfair has not been very helpful and I will not be purchasing from them again. It’s a bummer because the headboard we received looks nice, if only the whole process wasn’t a mess.

This bed looks great -- just the right amount of glam. Very happy with it aesthetically. Being as inexpensive as it is, you shouldn't be surprised that it's not super high quality in terms of construction. The "velvet" is more like a microfiber, but I fully expected that as most things described as velvet are synthetic. (Real velvet is silk, after all). Overall, I think it will hold up fine as long as it doesn't have to be taken apart and put together again after a move. Not hard to put together, but, like most cheaper furniture, it had its glitches (like holes that don't line up perfectly, etc.). Still, it looks great and holds my heavy mattress so I'm happy with it.
