Let me start by saying I haven't done this much screwing since my honeymoon. Once you get past that, might as well come to the realization it will take 8 years of advance degrees to read the instructions - they. were horrible. After about 2 hours you throw them in the corner and use your 2nd grade shape skills to put the pieces together. Turst me when I say - you need to lay out the whole thing prior to putting it together. If you think you are going to open one box at a time - you are mistaken. I suggest starting with the file cabinet/small credenza - this will give you a sense of accomplishment like you just bedded the prom king/queen and gives you the confidence to persevere. Once you get past this initial 2-3 hour task, move to the proctologist because that is what it feels like putting the rest of this together. The small parts (Screws,bolts,etc.) Not labeled in any reasonable fashion - this is where the guessing begins, much like when you were a virgin, find a hole stick it in. After 1.5 days - it was done. The end product was fantastic, works great, looks great. Some key points - You will be left with a large bag of extra screws fasteners etc... don't worry - its Bestars way of not controlling their production supply chain and adding a bunch of extra parts you don't need. Keep in mind the parts you wish you had extra of - will not be there, like the caps tot the fasteners. Next - you will have rubber washers - just sitting there like kids on their tablets - useless but you know they should be doing something else. While that something - not in the directions - is for little shock absorber washers on top of the screw holes that hold the top on. BOOM. I just saved you an hour of putting the desk together and taking it apart 6 times. So if you want a great looking desk, well built, good quality - but are willing to endure some mental and physical anguish of putting it together - this desk is for you.
