Shelves are formica, not wood veneers.

Very pretty unit. Works perfectly in our space. We were not happy with the directions, there were two different set of them and unfortunately we had to rebuild it.

Unfortunately, 3 heavy pkg arrived. The corner on all boxes were crushed or somewhat damaged. We opened the first one found the corner of one of the boards totally crushed. I’m disappointed have to return the whole thing. I have to say that the representative made the return process easy for us.

The bookcase was very well-packaged and arrived without any damage. Once assembled, it looked exactly like the pictures. However, I’m giving it four stars because the assembly process wasn’t as simple and easy as described. simple yet not simple. The simple part is that there’s no need for drilling or screwing (if you’re not mounting it to the wall). The hard part is inserting all the glass panels into the wooden grooves. First, you need to use significant force to snap the glass panels into the grooves. Second, each wooden piece requires three glass panels, and all the panels must align perfectly before you can attach the next wooden piece. This step was particularly challenging and required three people working together to complete—no exaggeration.
