Very nice it holds all that I need

Not well packed. The round metal pieces were flying around in the box, broke the Styrofoam and damaged one edge of a shelf. I thought I might still be able to use it but it turns out that shelf is the one most visible. The entire unit looks cheap. The pressboard wood has been made to look like real wood with an extremely shiny finish. It might hold up well for wear and tear. There are plastic caps that run along the edge and the color doesn't match anything in fact the small end caps are plastic and another color all together. They should have made them white. It is not easy to tell but there is a shelf on top. Not sure why anyone would put a shelf over an area where a steaming kettle would be. So, Do I keep it or go though the process of returning? I will likely keep it and refinish the shelving and paint the plastic so it at least looks clean rather than putty colored. I switch the damaged board with the one below it. It is not predrilled but the one that was had holes that did not line up anyway so I will predrill the undamaged board. I had another island on my list that was out of stock and now I wished I had waited for it.UPDATE - I am returning it. Every time I go in the room and look at it I think how awful it looks. No point in putting a bunch of time into trying to make it look presentable.
