The Overall Quality is not disappointing, and it is a nice size for a compact space. The table top is a rich wood-grain pattern and the pedestal design provides more comfortable knee room for a small table... BUT the packaging needs attention. The base carton was damaged and just a few loosely tossed washers and screws were remaining in the carton.. not enough to complete the assembly. I had to straighten two damaged corners on the steel attachment plate to get it to fit and the underside of the table top was damaged in one corner. The assembly was also a challenge as there were NO PRE-DRILLED PILOT HOLES on any of the pieces. I had to measure and drill my own before fastening the seats and top. It surprises me that no other reviewers mentioned this time-consuming inconvenience. You'll need a good drill, a screw gun, and a measuring device to fasten the hardwood chair seats. As to the comfort of the hard chair seats, we have ordered memory foam seat cushions. The seats do not push completely under the table so you need extra space to have them around the small table top. Given the hassle of assembly, we regret the sale price was not lower.

The hardware for the table bases to attach to the stand were missing on two of the units. The boxes for the chairs were taped and not closed, so the items were opened on delivery. I have bought many things from Wayfair and I pay A LOT of money for shipping to Maui. Never again!

So far so good on the dining set. Assembly takes a bit of time but really wasn't a bad project at all and it's not all that complicated. It's decent quality furniture for the price and is pretty much just as expected. On a scale o 1-5, I'd rate it a solid 4.

We purchased these for our office kitchen area. They LOOK great and they are STURDY! They are a perfect fit and should do well with the normal wear-and-tear of "Office Life." All the employees love them too!
