For the trundle inner mattress space, the length is about 75.6 inches, and the width is 39.6 inches. The thickness of the upper mattress is recommended to be 8 inches, and more than 8 inches are also acceptable. For trundle mattress it is recommended to be 8 inches. The twin XL cannot fit with this daybed.
