The most generic bed ever broke the first 2 days of having it

Once put together, the bed looks OK, will probably meet our needs. However, it What’s difficult to put together and not as sturdy as I was expecting. It says the weight limit is 660 pounds but I i’m not convinced of that. It is definitely not gonna hold up to anyone bouncing on the bed, even a small child I don’t think. Since I got it on sale, I don’t feel too bad about my purchase. It’s definitely not worth taking it apart to send it back!

3/5 because once built it looks nice, however….Several issues. One of the boards was incorrectly labelled in the instructions which said use board 2 when the board, once located was stamped 2B. Another page indicates incorrect holes for screws but if you pay attention you can tell where the screws should go based on the layout. One of the cam lock nut holes was not bored out correctly which prevented the cam lock nut from being correctly installed. While building I leaned on a slat and broke it. The bed specifications indicate that it holds 660lbs (330 lbs each side?). I doubt this based on the slats seem pretty flimsy and with a kid jumping on the bed more may be broken. To correct this I bought a 3/4 inch piece of sanded pine 4x8 plywood board, and cut it to size to lay on top of the flats/under the mattress. Wayfair gave me 20% off due to all this so I got $208 back. Which brought the price down to around $800. If you can get it on sale for maybe $750 it’s a decent deal but not worth $1,000. The storage along the back is nice to have for kids toys.
