Great desk for a 9 year old. The drawers are fabric, the top one doesn't go in all the way because of the bar in the back. The two sections are held together with 2 wood pegs and isn't very sturdy and leaves a small gap. Our fabric drawers came really dirty. It was easy to put together and works as a nice first desk.

I absolutely love this desk! It looks even better in person and adds a beautiful, modern touch to my home office. The white and gold combination is elegant and classy, and the large desktop gives plenty of space for my computer, monitor, and other work essentials. Very easy to assemble and it fit perfectly in our space, although the drawers are made from fabric and we thought from the picture that they were also made of wood. Good for the price though

This desk was surprisingly easy to put together and once assembled easy to move through standard doorways to put in place. It's not very heavy and meant for light use. I've matched it with a monitor riser and additional drawer unit to give me more storage than I need. It's just the right size for a desk in a bedroom without taking up too much space.

The reviews by other customers were on par. The desk did not come with the bolts to screw on the side pocket. I thought this would have been fixed by now. It was easy to put together though. My college aged daughter did this by herself. The directions were simple and yes, the directions for the shelves to be built on either side were included in the directions now. It is a nice desk for a starter apartment for college kids.
