The MOST POORLY DESIGNED BED FRAME - DO NOT BUY I ordered this bed before a reviewer gave it 2 stars for "The wooden supports holding up the slats completely split" after 2 days on the mattress. Turns out it's only designed to hold 200 lbs. Who designs a California King that can only hold 200 lbs?! There are not enough wooden supports to hold the load as shown in the submitted pictures. And right where the load is the greatest, the span is too wide and has no wooden support legs. We had to put an additional support in so the bed wouldn't break. I have ordered a bed frame from WayFair previously which was great. Wish I could return it but that would be more of a hassle right now.

Down one star for quality assurance - the bed originally arrived with the three screw receptacles completely missing from one headboard leg, so it could not be assembled. Wayfair customer service was quickly responsive and sent out a whole new bed! There is plenty of storage space under this bed and once assembled it seems quite sturdy. Ordered the brown color in King size and it looks sleek with a mid-century vibe.

Beware of the weight limit. My husband and I just bought this bed in a California King and only spent two nights in it before it broke. The wooden supports holding up the slats completely split. I then looked up the specifications and the bed only holds up to 200 pounds! Our mattress alone weighs 165. My husband is 6ft 5 in and weighs accordingly. I weigh 166. So if it was only me and the mattress, we have exceeded the weight limit. We have now bought a $400 metal insert to support our weight making this a very expensive purchase, not to mention the massive inconvenience of having a fully built bed taking up space and a mattress on the floor. We have recently bought many things from Wayfair as we just moved and this is the only purchase that has let us down.
