I looked long and hard for bookcases that would make sense in my space and be sturdy enough for my large book collection. These shelves are all rated to hold 50 lbs and I am careful l about how much I put on them but there is a slight bow now in the top two shelves of both cases which is really frustrating. I really like the color and style of these and was going to buy two more but I don't think these will actually work long-term as library pieces. If you are doing a children's book library or using it to showcase some decor, these are probably fine.
