This piece is beautiful and I am keeping it. It was back ordered for 3 months. After the long wait I had a couple of issue. The finish on one of the ends was not good. Look a like they missed painting the end piece of the trim where the door meets the cabinet on the left side. Also, they is an extremely strong VOC smell I’m still trying to get rid of. I worked with the Perigold customer service and they made it right. I’ll be touching up the black paint myself. This piece is extremely heavy. Although it says solid wood, the inside shelves and backside of the cabinet doors are clearly pressboard covered in some type of man made printed material that seem to be the origins of the smell. The cabinet itself and the front panels of the doors are real wood. Despite this, it’s still gorgeous and staying. Thanks to the Perigold staff for all their help.

After waiting longer for this item to arrive because it was on backorder, it was damaged. While Wayfair was quick to remedy the situation by offering a replacement, upon opening the doors of the sideboard, a horrendous chemical smell permeated the air. It is advertised as solid wood. The interior of the cabinet does not look like solid wood and has a very strong odor of VOC. I was advised to use a vinegar/water mixture on the interior and put baking soda in the cabinet to help soak up the odor. I was also advised to leave the doors open for several days. This was the first time ever I have had anything arrive from Wayfair or from any other furniture company that had this smell. It was not an inexpensive item! Shame on you Wayfair for selling a product that has this issue! If this piece wasn't ideal for the space, I would cancel the replacement as I will now have to go through this process a second time.

Delivery was on time in the merchandise was what I expected.
