This bed is cute and sturdy. Highly recommend. Easy to put together and very durable. Great material.

Over all the bed seems well made. Have not been able to put it together since the headboard was damaged in shipping and I am still waiting on the replacement for it. Maybe someday I will be able to get it together been waiting for this bed for 3 weeks

The bulk of the framing is solid wood, but overall there is a significant amount of MDF and plastic laminate (which began pealing for absolutely no reason after 3 months). The head and foot boards are heavy which I’m sure is why they arrived in destroyed boxes and are damaged. Because it’s our bed we decided no one is going to get close enough to see that it’s not solid wood or notice the damage, we kept it. Had we paid full price, we would have tried to return it, but as annoying as it is, it didn’t feel worth the hassle. **UPDATE** August 9, 2021 The wooden slats cracked today. The main slat that goes from the head to the foot and has the center legs attached to it, as well as several cross slats. Full disclosure, a happily married couple that participate in normal adult activities are the only people to use this bed not 20 year olds with acrobatic inclinations.

Nice and sturdy. It took us awhile to build; it is fairly involved because it's got a lot of infrastructure (which is a good thing if you're looking for something hearty). The wood is def darker than in the picture, but I appreciated that since it matches the rest of the bedroom furniture more closely. The drawers are maybe not the nicest, smoothest drawers I've ever used, but they'll be fine if infrequent use. Dude Overall, much improved from our old sad, squeaky metal frame.
