This item is well made and came pre-assembled except for the legs, which needed to be attached after receiving. It is sturdy, but VERY heavy - a forewarning for anyone that needs to have this taken upstairs! Solid wood construction, the drawers are a little sticky and need a bit of force to shut but they probably just need a bit of adjustment. Overall I think that they are worth the added price of purchasing something made of real wood and is pre-assembled, 90 %.
