Unlike most stools this compact and sturdy. excellent for intermittent use. Good value and well built.

Great stool but I think best for smallish people given that the seat is quite small. Easy to lift up and down for use with a standing desk. Seat also angles down or up which is helpful when using a standing desk. I lean against it slightly when standing for periods of time and don’t worry about sliding since there are no castors. All in all a very useful design — simple and sturdy.
