The bed is as described, solid wood and seems to be well made. My husband put it together by himself. We have a mattress on it and it is very low to the ground. It is fine for us, but may be too low if you typically use a boxspring.

Beautiful and very sturdy bed. The twin is ideal for a twin xl mattress vs a twin mattress. Some of the wholes were not flush but we made it work by improvising.
