I’ve had it for a year and it still has a weird smell. Otherwise solid construction.

Seems nice and sturdy, looks nice. Had a few minor imperfections that look like white paint, but it's hardly noticeable. Yes the top of the dresser is not smooth as others have noted in other reviews, but it's rustic and in my case my TV sits on it just fine. The base isn't affected by the uneven wood slates therefore does not wobble. There r only a few areas where the slates are uneven but they r moreso closer to the endges.
