I really like it but it was super difficult to assemble.

I wish I could rate this product higher. I love the look of it. The assembly was brutal. The instructions are complicated and confusing and had a few mis labeled components. It says 2 people for 3 hours, a believe it. The worst part is that another review I read said that they were not able to get a couple pegs all the way in and it ended up breaking the finish on the top panel. That happened to me. You assemble it upside down and I did not see the damage until I turned the whole unit right side up. 2 of the pegs pushed through the top. One cracked the black panel, and one actually pushed all the way through. This is worst case since that is clearly visible near the edge of the top. This is completely unpreparable. Taking the whole thing apart to return it is too much work for the cost of the item. I also cannot get the adjustable hinges on the doors to cooperate and right now they don't line up with each other. If you are a wizard at assembling flat pack furniture, you may be fine. I tried to stay focused and do it carefully, but I ended up with sore hands, strained eyes and then a half full swear jar when I saw the damage to the top. The one photo is the crack and the other is my attempt to color the exposed press board with black paint.

I love it! It was a bit time-consuming to assemble it, but it was so worth it. The handles came with a silver finish. I spray painted them gold. Love the mid century look.
