This island was perfect for my kitchen with smaller footprint

This island is well made and good quality. However, it did come damaged with a large crack along one entire side of marble. I opted not to exchange the island for a new one because it's extremely heavy and it was incredibly stressful and difficult to get into the house. Wayfair refused to offer white glove service for this item, which is crazy considering it's 475lbs and over 600lbs with the packaging. They will only leave it outside your front door. I would have happily paid white glove delivery, because it's necessary for this item. Although I was prepared and hired a professional mover to help bring the island into the house, Wayfair changed the 4 hour window drop off time the morning of the delivery and the professional mover was then not available to do the job. I had to pay a large cancellation fee and then had to pay a 2nd mover to bring it inside the home. If I hadn't been able to hire the 2nd mover, I would have had to leave the island outside overnight! There is packaging under the island too, so they needed dollies and other equipment to get it in place. It's a big job that requires 3-4 strong people. Overall, this was not a good experience and I would not buy furniture from Wayfair again if they didn't offer a white glove service option on the item.

Beautiful island. Very heavy need to pay for the installation or have a few guys help place it for you.

The island itself is wonderful, sturdy, very solid, beautiful and a great addition to our kitchen for storage. As for delivery, it was such a stressful process. I paid extra to have the extremely heavy island taken into my home, therefore I had to be home during delivery. Wayfair canceled my first delivery the day of and an hour before expected delivery. Wayfair did this 3 more times, never informing me they'd cancel. I had to reach out to customer service after failed deliveries, no one every contacted me. When you contact customer service it's a new person everytime that has to get acquainted with everything that's going on. When they finally delivered the island the delivery guys did not want to bring the island into my home. They wanted to leave it in my driveway, this is not what I paid for. After all of the shenanigans I refused the delivery and told them to just take it back with them. One of the guys got on the phone with his supervisor and I guess they were told to bring the island in. Long story short. Don't order this island unless you're ready to deal with last minute cancelations, poor customer service, and hauling a heavy object into your home. I am not sure if the stress of delivery was worth the island. They even said I would receive $15 for reviewing this item and nothing, it was not added to my balance. Wow wayfair.
