Bought this for my dad who has had a stroke and he needed assistance getting out of the chair. I wish the button on the side was better placed for him to push while trying to get up rather than having to lean over to raise it to an acceptable level for him to exit the chair. But it has a sturdy base and seems to be comfortable.
