I guess I jumped the gun and assumed that it was actually wood. I'm disappointed that it's just faux wood and just flexible basket like material only held in box form by some sturdy inserts you put on the bottom. From that perspective, yeah I'm disappointed, but at the end of the day it's still a pretty good and sturdy shelving unit. It looks and feels cheap just looking and feeling it in person, but it gets the job done I guess.
One genuine complaint though: what the heck man. What the heck about this sticker thing. All I did was peel off the unnecessary warning sticker about making sure the unit doesn't fall on a child and it ripped the faux wood material off and exposed the scrappy actual material. Super upsetting because I literally just put it together and convinced myself that even though it's not what I expected it's still good, and then I peel the sticker off and this happens. Bro, like really, come on man. I try to be considerate but really bro? Even the regular standard glue on the back of a sticker is powerful enough to ruin the surface of your product? I'm just disappointed. Not going to ask for refunds or a new part or anything because I don't want to go through the hassle.
Overall it's a fine shelving unit. I know I'm being pretty negative but it's actually not that bad. It's fine, but just fine. Nothing special but not bad either.
