This is a good practical alternative to wall mounting your flat screen TV. The surface is a nice brown wood look and the size is good for mobile furniture. It appears to be best for a basement or a bedroom since the design is simple and most living rooms would not need a smaller size base and mobility. There is cable management in the back and enough shelving space for a couple of pieces of equipment. I'm having some issues with the wheel locking mechanism but will read the instructions and check back. Update: I upgraded my rating to 5 starts because it really gives the impression that the TV is wall mounted once set up properly. After adding a new nicknacks to dress it up and pushing it against the wall, it is exactly what I needed for my 55 inch TV.

The shipping was fast. Directions were easy to follow. However, this tv stand looks cheap in my opinion. This is not something an adult would want to see in their living space. Put this item in a kids room, playroomy, or living space for a college kid. We put this tv stand in the garage for our boys to play video games with friends. Note picture was taken before assembly was completed.
