update: In December these chairs cracked straight down the middle. I had a cabinetry maker take a clook and he said they had the wood grain running the wrong direction. This happened to 2 of the 4 chairs.... very disappointing. These are solid. Well made and quality wood. They look just like what I also see at high retailers.
