This coffee table/ottoman looks great in my family room. I put a tray on it to hold tv remotes, coasters, etc. but there is still plenty of space to put your feet up. It's heavy enough that it doesn't slide around even when several people have their feet propped on the ottoman while watching tv.

Sturdy, looks luxurious. Be smart either way assembling, flip rod in the middle bottom. Still works. I am buying pieces of furniture till I am some with my overall look. Edit: 6 months later Still in love with purchase. Such a statement. I will change furniture and rug. Still keeping it a center table.

Great product for the price! The base assembled quickly and easily. We did not attach the top because I am considering recovering the top (we purchased the only option available: "Lead") to better match my decor. The gold base is nice. It is a little lighter in tone than I expected - maybe a little more champagne.
