The shelf is decent and mostly looks like the pictures but a few things worth noting. The packaging isn't ideal with the top board being just a sheet of Styrofoam away from the shipping box, which led to it getting damaged since the material is easy to ding/scratch. A replacement unit was sent which did not have the damage, but I'm sure this will happen frequently. Since I saw two units, I was surprised at the variation in color of the Brown color. Totally understand they'll all be unique and different with the rustic finish, but the second unit had a much lighter brown than the first. The bookshelf definitely has a good side (looking from the left) and a bad side (looking from the right) due to where all the screws are installed. I'm really surprised this doesn't come with brown screw covers to hide all the silver, as they are quite the eyesore. Lastly the LED lights aren't really doing much on the unit, as they can only shine on the top row. The light strip is somewhat visible once installed, and kind of makes it look cheaper to me, so I'll probably end up taking them down. Overall the bookshelf has a nice design to it, okay for the price, but definitely has a few missteps in the details.

Fairly sturdy piece of furniture. Took a bit of time to build and the top had slightly more variations in color than pictured. Soft wood so it came with a few dings and dents unfortunately. Overall a decent bookcase.

Perfect shelf unit for my child’s playroom to hold books and toys. Assembly directions were not very clear, so what should have taken about 90 minutes took longer. Great rustic color and the lights add some fun to the piece. I like the detail on the side of the shelf unit.
