Calumet Heimann Extendable Butterfly Leaf Dining Table

The table itself was nice enough, except that the first one arrived with a huge scratch. Wayfair sent a replacement, which arrived very quickly but in even worse shape than the first! The replacement was broken beyond repair. By that time I was fed up and just got a refund. I was also concerned by how so many pieces broke, indicating that while the top seemed sturdy the underside is made of cheaper wood. The table is very heavy, so repacking twice and hauling it back down to the mailroom of my apartment building twice was too much.

Nice table. Well made, solid wood. Arrived with a few dings and scratches, decided to live with them rather than going through the hassle of returning. BUT my biggest issue is the color. Much more red than I was expectingthe pictures. Espresso is not the right name for the finish. It is very much a cherry finish. Was hoping for a cooler tone based on the images to go with my chairs, but cest la vie

I agonized over my choice of table because I needed the biggest surface area I could squeeze into a small space. This turned out to be the BEST choice - it's large enough to seat four comfortably without the extension and I have four upholstered dining chairs that fit well around it. The color (grey) is kind of brownish, but it lightens up what used to be a gloomy space. It went together easily and was packed really well - it had one small nick that probably only I would have noticed (but I fixed it with a dab of paint and now I'm happier). The center seam where the table joins is very noticeable; it's made that way - a feature, not a bug - so if you need a perfectly smooth surface this one isn't for you. I don't mind, though; it fits with the slightly rustic feel.

Great table, easy assemble and perfect for a small dining cove. It did have one small mar on one corner but not worth sending it back as we use a table cloth 98% of the time.

Once the installer got the final corner pieces off there is a huge chip gouge on the corner we need a replacement table
