The table i was replacing with this one cost several hundreds less, was easier to put together and still in fantastic shape, I just needed a smaller table for the size of my dining area after moving. In short, the chairs are pretty and easy to assemble though Im not sure what the life expectancy is because after just a few days I feel a wobble. Good luck with the pedestal portion of the assembly as the wrench provided is too long to move it for locking the nuts on the inside of the pedestal, I have no idea what engineer came up with that idea. The cross shaped piece that gives support between the table top and the pedestal seemed kind of thin for the job. Had I seen this in a store and had a chance to check it out before buying I would not have purchased. But since I have it all.together I guess we are keeping it for now and will see how it holds up. I will say it is pretty.
