This kitchen island looks nice and is functional once assembled, but the setup process had several frustrations. The hardware packaging arrived ripped open and several pieces were loose in the bottom of one of the boxes. Assembly takes quite a while, and some of the schematics were difficult to understand. One screw for the cabinet knobs was also missing.
I attempted to contact customer service, but the process was very tedious—the app and browser both froze after I uploaded photos and wouldn’t proceed to the next step. In the end, we just bought a replacement screw at a local hardware store.
The drop-leaf countertop also feels fairly flimsy, so we’re hesitant to leave much on it. The sliding countertop does help add stability, but it would be nice if the drop leaf felt more sturdy without always needing to reposition the top. The whole island might also be more secure if the locking wheels were placed on the long side under the drop-leaf.
Black screw covers or hardware on the back of the unit would have also provided a more seamless look.
