Beautiful and incredibly sturdy. I took off one star because it did have a strong odor and some sort of residue; however, I wiped it down with a wet cloth and the residue and odor are gone.

Really beautiful pieces. Each bookshelf is slightly different and has great character. Great details.

The finish is not set. it comes off on my hand if I rub it! The wood on part of the carving at the top of the case is ROTTEN; and when I tried to cover a flaw with a furniture repair marker, the wood crumbled in my hand! With a lot of repair and bolting the side pieces to the center piece, it is salvageable. However, I now wish I had paid a couple of thousand more for another oversized set I also found. I have ordered a great deal recently, and this is the first disappointment. Oh well, live and learn.

Great quality oversized bookshelf! If you have a room 12 ft or more this is perfect

This is a beautiful, well built library. Perfect in the right space!
