This is a great budget daybed. I specifically wanted a trundle that pops up into a king and sits flush with the daybed with a secure connection, and only metal daybeds seemed to offer that flexibility. I also needed it to accommodate 8” mattresses, which many daybeds with trundles cannot. Another plus is that it supports more weight than most daybeds. We plan to use this as a guest bed when my parents visit. I did not install the LED lights or the power strip.
It’s not the most attractive piece, but it is very functional. The thin vertical slats do help prevent creaking, which is a nice feature. However, if the mattress you choose isn’t firm enough—especially for larger guests—you may be able to feel the slats. Also recommend getting a mattress that has an anti-slip bottom.
My main complaints are that the daybed mattress does not have a back stopper, and the pop-up trundle should not be raised on its own because the rounded bottom can make it unstable if someone sits on the edge. Overall seems to be a great budget option that checks a lot of boxes
