Works for me, but I would have been really upset if I had paid full price. Majority of the pieces had some sort of damage that could have been solved with better packing. The backing is pretty flimsy and has really visible creases that I couldn't smooth out. I covered the back with wallpaper bc I thought it was cute. The laminate is pretty thin and seems to be easily damaged. Overall satisfied with it, but I would have preferred something a bit more elevated. Just hard to find a good balance of price and value.. This is a very nice cabinet. Assembly is the cam and lock style which is very common for furniture. If you've done that before, assembly is easy. If you haven't, just go slow and follow the directions. They are pretty self-explanatory. Assembly can be done by one person, but there are a couple steps where it would be helpful to have a second set of hands. The bookshelf is wonderful. Very sturdy and it looks high quality. As you can see I am using for our tv and it’s deep enough where the hdmi cords have room to be plugged in horizontally into the back of the tv. One heads up though, the package is HEAVYYY so be ready to have someone help you carry it in. Other than that, once it was built (which the assembly was so easy) it wasn’t to hard to move around to where I wanted it. Delivery was quick and on time. The boxes were packaged very well and no damage was noted after unpacking. All the parts were accounted for with a few extras. I got two and my husband put them together by himself. The first one took about 2.5 hours and the second one took him just under 2 hours. Probably could have done it less time, but he had a couple interruptions with service people and chasing geese out of the yard. He said the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. During the building process, he said there was a point where the shelves were very "rickety". They become very stable as you continue to build. He said just be careful and take your time. They look very nice and suit my needs. The only thing to note, is the cabinets on the bottom measure 14". That measurement doesn't account for the doors closing. Probably should allow about an inch to allow the doors to close completely. There is a small gap (1/4") between the doors. Depending on what you put there and how close it is the to doors, it might show through the space. I am very happy with my purchase and would buy again if I needed more.. Lisa. Summerville, SC. This is a great bookcase. Perfect for organizing my grandkids playroom. The color wasn't what it looked like online. It appeared to be more of a bluish grey. But it could have been my screen. The actual color was more of a taupe grey. The assembly instructions were easy to follow. There were a few times that you will need two people for the assembly. The worst part of the assembly is the arch. It was very difficult to get it on correctly. I think that section should be made differently. Because of this, and the color issue, I gave it 4 stars..
