The wood feels thick & real rather than engineered/faux wood. I can easily see the grain on the wooden top, and the curvy design makes it look even better. The metal legs are sturdy and add some depth to its design & the looks. The installation was a breeze and took less than 30 minutes all by myself. Review of wood bench with upholstered pad. Item arrived on time. Well packaged and not too heavy. I like the sizing so far. The size is perfect for use at a table to hold 2 people (3 in a crunch). Assembly was super easy- just add the legs. The cushion is a nice touch for extra padding. The cushion comes attached to the seat. You can unscrew the pad if you want to change the upholstery.
