Overall very pleased with the purchase. This credenza fit my needs perfectly under my 42" TV to hold my heavy bookshelf speakers, printer and printer supplies underneath. Credenza looks more expensive than a particle board item should look! Pros: - All parts were padded nicely in the box with no scratches or dents - All parts were clearly marked. The fasteners were also clearly labeled with an extra item in each pouch. Nice touch! - All pre-drilled holes lined up correctly. The pieces were cut for a nice tight fit. No wobbles. - The instructions were large illustrations and easy to follow (Though it did take me about 3 hours to assemble it, taking my time and getting it right the first time (a first!) - The credenze is sturdy and heavyweight for what it is. - The back panel is also wood. Many items like this cheap out on cardboard. Cons: -The screws holding the door hinges are tiny wood screws which can strip in the particle board easily. I see this as an early failure point. - I could not get the doors to perfectly line up. Our TV cabinet arrived quickly and was packaged very securely. It comes in two boxes and it is very heavy, so you might need two people to carry it in. The instructions were good and all the pieces were there, which isn't always the case, so very happy with that. It is not an easy assembly, but there are moving parts and a lot of smaller pieces, so that's not a surprise. At one point we needed two people to stabilize a section while tightening some screws, but for the most part, it's a one person job taking maybe 3-4 hours if you're not experienced. The look is nice. We got the light oak color and it's a little lighter than I expected, but looks good. The most important part is that it works perfectly. We haven't installed the TV yet, but the remote works and it slides up and down effortlessly. The only slight minus is that the remote has no instructions or directions. We ordered this tv stand in the brown color which has a slight taupe modern hue in the brown. It was the perfect size for a kitchen alcove that we had have and we desperately needed kitchen storage. We have looked everywhere for a low piece that wouldn’t block the windows and has deep storage to declutter our small kitchen space. The assembly took me about two hours then my husband jumped in the next day to adjust the doors. Note that if you decide not to use the shelves rest them on the floor so the doors don’t invert when they close. They have adjustable soft close hinges and each piece has one removable, adjustable shelf. The box is about 7ft long and weighs 97 pounds so keep that in mind. It would be very helpful to have a person with you to assemble this because the boards are long and heavy and you had to hold them in place while putting screws in.the back panel comes with all of the screws but only 6 are predrilled. You don’t absolutely have to use the rest if you don’t want to. It’s pretty sturdy and definitely holds a lot of stuff so if you need low profile storage this may be for you.. Andrea.
