The package is a tall box. If it needs to be transported to upper level or lower level must have help to do so. I just opened the package and took each piece to upper level. The packaging was great. Instructions were clear. Lots of extra pieces of nuts were given. Can’t go wrong anywhere with assembly. Each piece was very well made. There’s hardly any assembly. It probably takes about 30 minutes to 40 minutes maximum. The wood pieces are solid wood. Has very smooth finish. The texture of the finished surface is soft and gives expensive feel. Once assembled one can tell its sturdy construction. We’ve been using it for a month now and no creaking or any noise. Perfect for apartment size bedroom or guest bedroom. Very happy with purchase. The bed came on time and well packaged. Once we got it into the house, it took a few days for my husband to tackle it. All pieces were there (which says a lot)! It took him about 4 hours to assemble it. It is a very sturdy bed however, when bouncing up and down, the slats under the mattress were quite noisy - like a clacking sound. We remedied this by placing a thin strip of packing foam under the slats. So far, it’s holding and is quiet. For this reason, we gave it 4 stars. Other than that one issue, we like it a lot. Really happy with this nightstand overall. The design is beautiful and fits perfectly with a modern or mid-century style room. I especially like the larger size and the three drawers — it gives you a lot more storage than most nightstands. Assembly took a bit of time, but nothing too difficult if you follow the instructions carefully. Once put together, it feels sturdy and well-made.
