As far as press board furniture goes, it's pretty sturdy. It's not tiny like a lot of tables online but not too big either. However one of the pistons in the lift mechanism has no pressure so it's slightly awkward to open and close (definitely use a hand on each side when you do it). The provided stickers for covering the screw holes aren't the right color (see photo) so that's kind of annoying. Disappointed with Wayfair though. The price dropped by $20 the day after I ordered, before it had even shipped, and they refused to price match. It's pretty standard to match a price drop within a week or two after a purchase. Love it so far! It did take 3 hours to put together, and one of the hardware pieces was mislabeled (1R in guide is actually 1P), but overall simple instructions. The lift top is quite intense, but I’m sure that overall it will loosen up and be a smoother openclose. The table also barely sits above where our couch seat lies, so we don’t use it as a proper table. Overall like being able to have the surface closer to us, and looks good! The top was broken off the lift mechanism when I opened the box. It has two runners that glue to the underside of the top that broke off. It had just a few brads and glue holding it on and some of the brads were bent over and did not penetrate the top. I would have sent it back but after opening it there was no way to get it all back in the box. I re-glued with polyurethane and put screws through the runners into the top. Not the best quality!. I wanted a coffee table and the one that I found (at another store) was out of stock. I had very specific requirements for size, materials, color, and storage. I found this one on Wayfair for half the price of the other, and figured that I could live with it and resell it when I was able to get what I'd originally decided on. Well… I LOVE this table. I love the rich color, the fresh sent of real wood, the fantastic construction, the ease with which the storage areas open and close… everything about it. I have since canceled the order for what I'd previously chosen because this table is my win. The feet were not attached at arrival (everything else was assembled) - they screw on - and I have elected not to attach them at this time. That may change in the future. The storage areas hold far more than I expected - all of our board games are in the open area and a select of blankets is on the side with dividers, the feet are stored behind the drawer with cocktail napkins and such in the middle above the drawer, the remotes are in the drawer itself, and there is still extra space in all sections. I'm giving this table 4 stars because it seems to be a very sturdy and well made table. The one star deduction is because the color of the actual table does not remotely match the picture online. Even allowing for the variability of monitors, the photo on the website appears to be a natural wood with an aged patina. The actual table has a dark cherry colored stain. This would have been a problem had I ordered the other pieces I had planned for the room.
