I love this table. I use it in my dining room. It has small gaps nbetween the slats. I was afraid this might cause problems with drinks spilling but it hasn't. Absolutely love this table. It's very solid, quality teak. The paint job is amazing. I love the feel of the tabletop, but I have ordered a piece of glass to go overtop of the table only because there are cracks and gaps that are part of it's charm, but could collect food. I was a little anxious the table may be too busy, but it's so perfect and brings everything in the room together. I am so glad I went for it! I was able to assemble in about 20 minutes by myself. Just because it’s not crystal clear in the description: This table has a working mechanism that can drop it to chair height and raise it to high-top with locking hand-bolts. Also, someone commented that the table top is not “sturdy” - that is not true. You could perform an autopsy on a 300 .lb man on this table. This table is EXACTLY what we have brn searching for. A 48 inch,ROUND table that is bar height...not easy to find. But we did and we are so happy with this table. My husband did put a clear coat over the wood. It seemed like if anything spilled it would have soaked into the table. Its beautiful, great quality, we highly recommend. The table is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. The teak is warm, smooth to the touch with a beautiful teak texture. I get compliments every. single. time. without fail. It's solid and very heavy and well-made. I bought teak oil to finish it but decided it arrived in the most beautiful raw look. It has been 3 years with this as our family dinner table and we have zero issues with it. Other reviewers stated issues with outdoor use on the East Coast. This is indoors on the West Coast FWIW. When moving, do NOT lift it up, shifting all weight to one set of legs. UPDATE: Tabletop is splitting. It is also splitting on opposite end on same board. Very disappointing! Paid a lot of money and very upset that there is no way for me to repair this. If it keeps going, I’ll have 2 tables! DO NOT PURCHASE THIS TABLE, Changed up a sunroom into a dining/game room with this table! It’s absolutely prefect for this room. The width is a great size so you’re not too far away for card games etc and the length is great for these oversized swivel chairs. The natural color is great for keeping the area from getting too dark. Sturdy table but like others have said, it will need a protective sealer if using as a regular dining table with possible spills.
