While the quality isnt the best, I think the other two reviews are way too harsh. The drawers are definitely not the best but they do open and close. One review says they dont open and close. These were a breeze to put together, zero hiccups with either. Completed with my 14year old son while we watched a movie. I like the style, the space underneath, the variations in texture. I love the appearance but the quality really isn't the best (it's equal to the old Pier One wicker stuff...looks great but does not last!)...anyway, great appearance, I do love how it looks (I have the rest of this bedroom set, I just needed another dresser), which is my next issue. The drawers are TINY. They are not deep and they hold only a few t-shirts. Bulky sweaters? Forgetabout it, lol! So is this really practical, no way!
