Assembly is required, but all of the tools come included.

This is an extremely heavy and stable table. I love the colors. My only complaint is, when it is set up to seat 6 (without the leaf), there is a gap in the table. You can see the floor and you can see the metal spindle that connects the two table halves together which requires me to use a tablecloth to hide it.
