First, the positive comments: the table was a pleasant surprise in that it is more white than depicted in the photos. It is a sturdy table and the extension insert is easy ro put together, even though I am a senior citizen, with spine injuries. I did it myself. Many compliments were received. The negative part is that it arrived broken. The customer service was most helpful and we resolved the issue. Weathered Natural

This extendable dining table is a welcome addition to any dining room or eat-in kitchen. Update December 2025: with minimal use and a protective cover, this table has issues with the top. The inlay seemed to shrink? I added a photo of the gap. I only found out today when I removed the cover (it was time for a new one, which I have done once before because, again, minimal use). I am not even sure how to fix this... .... To be fair, this was just delivered. The table is solid and hefty. The color is very dark, almost a gray black, which is fine by me. You definitely need 2 people to put this together - I opted to have installation and I don't regret it! The table is big even without the leaf (see pic with chairs - yes, I have 8 chairs but took 2 out for a better pic). Either end space doesn't pull up close to the table because of the legs, but when you sit in the chair it is very comfortably spaced. Under the table, when sitting on the side chairs, it is very comfortable too, with decent elbow room (yes, even whithout the leaf and 3 chairs per side). Like others said, around the top's edge is a gap so you might need toothpicks to clean the groove, but it isn't obnoxious. The leaf gap is tight with the clamps in place, so that is also good. The extension mechanism is a chain wheel so it is smooth to pull apart. That said, i would assume it needs to be checked every so often. I can't speak to that since I just got the table.. Sheri. I had very specific criteria I was looking for in an everyday table. I wanted a pedestal base, an oval or round top with a leaf, cream/off-white with a dark wood top. it either had to match my existing chairs or have chairs without fabric. I also had a budget in mind. I know I'm extremely picky. I have been looking on and off for the right table for almost 4 years. Even after I order the table I texted my husband and said I'm probably going to hate it. I ordered it on a Thursday and it arrived unexpectedly early on Saturday morning and we put it together easily. 2 bolts per foot and 4 bolts for the top. nothing was damaged in shipping and the table is an almost perfect match to the existing pieces in the room. The base is a little more on the white/gray side then cream but in the shade of the table its not noticeable. We will most likely always have the leaf in but the mechanism worked fine and everything fit together well and it feels sturdy.
