While the design is good. The quality of the produce is lacking. It was delivered in very good condition based on the size and weight of the package. I recommend assisting the delivery person in unloading the 3 boxes as they average about 90 pounds a peice. The installation instructions are lacking little details and the pictures in the instructions are not clear enough to provide you with the detail to put the boards in the correct order the first time. The instruction for every step is follow the illustration. I have attached step 6.1 and board 16 has holes on the edge in the middle of the board. Based on the picture included you need to figure out if they go toward the bottom or toward the top. The installation videos are not useful as they quickly zoom to the corner where annimation shows a screw and anchor being put into place and not the orientation of the board that would be helpful. Specific issues with our unit started with step 3 of the install process where the holes that were drilled into boards 7 and 8 were not deep enough so the bolt hit the wood and would not allow the boards to be joined snuggly together. After looking to see if another bolt included was a better fit, I drilled out the holes an 1/8th of an inch deeper which fixed the problem. Moving slowly through the steps I encountered a bigger issue at step 9 and 10. I had put together the bottom of the bed and was trying to mount the bed frame too it. The bolt holes in the bottom do not line up with the nut holes in the frame. I tried to reverse the boards as well as mount the boards individually to the bottom. They are misalligned by about 2 inches and there is no solution. At this point I have contacted Wayfair and they might send new boards that hopefully have holes that are alligned. If I get them and am able to move forward I will update my review. At this point it is a pile of boards and a half put together frame that is useless. Last notes, the directions have you build the wall mount with the lower part of the desk first. This takes up a lot of room and we had to work on the rest of the bed in another area and carry it in. If you have a small place I would start at step 8 then go back to step one when you hit step 11. They also didn't list the weight limit or heigth limit of the matress in the manual. We got a 9 inch mattress but can't tell you if it works yet.. Andrew. Snohomish, WA. Wed Dec 10 2025

We really appreciate that the bed pieces are all wood. No particleboard at all! It took a while to put together, so we would say to allow extra time before someone needs to sleep on it. Be patient and you’ll have a great piece! Our wall studs did not match up to the suggested positions for the anchors, so we adapted that to our needs and used two extra anchors. The hydraulic arms are very strong, so you need to be careful with the construction to have someone hold the top vertical if opening the bed while under construction. Once the anchors are in place, the unit is absolutely solid and when a mattress is added, the pressure from those pieces do exactly what they should - allowing the bed to lowered and raised smoothly and safely . Great bargain. Enjoy!. Anonyme. Tue Jun 17 2025

I have been searching for a fully assembled murphy cabinet bed for a long time, and after months of consideration, I decided to splurge and purchase this model! I wanted something that would be easy to open and close on a daily basis, that you’d be able to leave the sheets / comforter on when closed (this eliminated tons of other options because most Murphy cabinets have 3-section mattresses, meaning the sheets need to be taken off every time.) I just received this product today, and Wayfair delivered the insanely heavy box right into the room for me for free!! Mattress is very firm so you may want to get a thin mattress topper for it. Edit: (1 week update) The bed and mattress emitted very strong odors that gave me headaches and a sore throat symptoms for days. It says it is CA Phase 2 compliant for formaldehyde, so just be careful and make sure to let the product air out (off gas) in the garage for a few days before sleeping on it. I’m planning on getting a heavy duty air purifier and potentially sealing it with VOC blocking primer just to be safe.. Laura. Canastota, NY. Thu Feb 27 2025
