Solid bed frame, I assembled it solo but parts might need a second person for someone less physically capable than a reasonably fit 40 year old guy. The mattress I put on it is heavier than it was designed for, so it's difficult to lift to access the under compartment. I don't think I saw any limit on mattress weigh on the description.. Put this together by myself didn’t really care for the layout lack of detail in the assembly instructions the link for assembly video said “URL not found”..I found there were a couple pieces markedlettered incorrectly, which led to the confusion, but I eventually figured it out a completed the frame. This was the third Wayfair bed frame that I have purchased and put together, and I had another great experience! I was a little nervous since the box was shipped to my primary home, but I needed it for our beach house, so I was hoping that when I opened the box at my destination that there were no issues. Everything arrived packed well, all parts intact and instructions easy to follow. This is a beautiful, high quality, well made bedframe for the price. It was also very easy to assemble. This bed is built so beautifully! It’s definitely not a bed you’re building from scratch. Essentially it’s attaching the sideboards to the head and footboard along with screwing the wooden slats onto the center supporting platform and the sideboards. I wish there were screws on both sides of every wooden slat (some are only screwed into the middle platform) but aside from that this is a very sturdy bed for a reasonable price.
