It's so much nicer than running cords to outlets that are low on the wall.

I have warmed up to this console, but was not happy with how much higher than the sofa it was, and the top is just not what I expected! Was expecting a more rustic wood. However, I ended up placing it behind the sofa and my dog loves it for her Den. And it is convenient for charging and placing items like 2 matching table lamps and getting the too-many pillows I have out of the way! Also, it makes a great standing table, during Christmas it was my staging location and for writing! I'm glad I didn't write off this console and relegate to Good Will.
