Each box only contains 8 sqft, but wayfair calculates and charges 16 sqft per box. This completely messed up the whole renovation plan. Terrible.

I bought these tiles to create the floor of a shower stall but I returned them before installing them so I cannot comment on how they served this purpose. However, the reason I returned them was that I noticed one or two of the small mosaics were chipped at the edges. This would have been ok except that the color of the tile where they chipped was different from the surface color. I found out that ceramic tiles were of all made of a dark gray material that received a color glaze on the surface. Once chipped, the dark gray background appeared at that site. This would not happen with porcelain tiles which have the same color and structure through and through. If porcelain tiles were to chip, the background color would be the same as the surface and may not be as unsightly. In addition, porcelain tiles are said to be sturdier so chips are less likely. Knowing this, ceramic tiles would not be my choice for floors where items could drop and chip them. Wayfair made it very easy for me to return these tiles and refunded my money minus the shipping expense right away. I have now purchased porcelain mosaic tiles from Wayfair for my shower project and they should be arriving tomorrow.

The overall look is nice however the tiles are very hard to put on. Is the low price a reason behind that? For that price they are OK but I would not recommend it if they wouldn't be on sale.
