Ackland Camden 24 in. x 24 in. Gauged Slate Floor and Wall Tile

Beautiful tiles on our fireplace hearth. Nice colour, texture and well packed for delivery.

Horrible packaging for heavy slate tiles, the box isn't rated for that weight and tiles were cutting through. No protection between slices and all three were cracked/chipped. Also a grey-blue color than black. If tiles are wet it can claim to be black but unless you have a special sealant you're not getting black tile. Really dissapointing. I got partial discount as I'll reuse the broke peices for something else but back on the hunt for kitchen floor tiles that aren't tiny.

Love!! Have used it many times!

Definitely satisfied with the tile, with a few caveats. I bought 25 tiles, they arrived nicely packaged and protected on a pallet. However, they were all stacked together, and the very bottom tile had a roughly 6" corner snapped off, simply due to the weight above it. If ordering a high number, I'd suggest doing several smaller orders to reduce the package size. In any case, that's why you buy extra tile for waste. Second, the tile I received is more of a dark gray with blue tones rather than the black shown in the pictures. It does darken up a bit once sealer is applied, though. Lastly, it's a bit of a wait for delivery but, hey, it's free shipping and a very heavy product, so just plan your project with that timing in mind. Overall, I'm very happy with how the floor came out, and this tile was 1/4 the cost of the local dealers, hard to beat that.

I was using this as an out door table, top. It said it had grooved edges but it came with very sharp edges not suitable for my purpose.
