The unit is heavy. Remove the plastic and nylon straps immediately upon delivery and lift the box off. It has to sit upright, outside the box for 24 hrs to protect the compressor. I used the time to read the manual set up the window exhaust and drain. The drain is at the of the unit. Whether you run the drain line out a window, into an existing drain, or into a bucket, the line must be installed below the unit. I had a sturdy end table to put it on. Fixed the exhaust through a window and set a 5 gallon bucket under the table for the drain line because I didn’t want to put a hole in my window screen. I powered it on and the lid popped open and immediately started blowing cool air in my face! I love it! Great when the central air goes out or to further cool areas far from the central AC unit.

Tonight will be the first night using this 14,000 BTU air conditioner. Set up was pretty straightforward. Turned it on and found it to be blowing amazingly cool air.

Easy to install. Cooling like advertised. Hi tech. Is it watching me? :) The window panels are very thin, so the "security bracket" seems a little silly.

Quiet and solid machine. Complete kit was easy to put together with clear comprehensive instructions. Set this up in a house with no AC. One room with closed doors cooled well. IMPORTANT: only thing missing is a necessity! Immediately purchase an exhaust tube insulated blanket cover. That tube was so HOT it was putting heat into the room! Insulating it stops that from happening.
