The unit is heavy. Remove the plastic and nylon straps immediately upon delivery and lift the box off. It has to sit upright, outside the box for 24 hrs to protect the compressor. I used the time to read the manual set up the window exhaust and drain. The drain is at the of the unit. Whether you run the drain line out a window, into an existing drain, or into a bucket, the line must be installed below the unit. I had a sturdy end table to put it on. Fixed the exhaust through a window and set a 5 gallon bucket under the table for the drain line because I didn’t want to put a hole in my window screen. I powered it on and the lid popped open and immediately started blowing cool air in my face! I love it! Great when the central air goes out or to further cool areas far from the central AC unit.

I’m thinking about returning my unit as it doesn’t restart once it reaches the temperature it’s set at. I called support and was told that the room must be 6 degrees hotter than the set temperature to turn back on. This means I have to set the temperature to 66 degrees if I want my room to be 72 and waste energy getting the initial cooling done.
