These detectors are very handy to have. There has been quite a bit of flooding recently so having a few of these in the basement gives an added peace of mind and stops us from checking it as often. They also give you a tool that helps open them up to install a battery, very handy

You get two Water Leak Detectors per purchase from Airthereal. It also includes a tool for each leak detector to open them up to access the battery compartments but you can easily open them without the tools in case you misplace them. Each detector takes two AAA batteries which are also included. They are very compact. Great bargain!

I would give this 5 stars but I have not had to rely on it yet and hopefully never. It is what I expected except that there are two in the box. Bonus. It comes with batteries and I guess these sticks are for assisting you to open up the case to insert the batteries. Otherwise no directions so thats a guess. It beeps loudly when water drips on it. I tested that out. I am using this at the base of our water heater because we have already had a disastrous water heater blow out and flooded our entire downstairs. Hoping to avoid another issue like that with this alarm. Worth the money and an insurance claim.

We have two homes each with a big hot water tank. Our biggest fear is to have a leak when we’re not home. This seems to be a very simple solution where each unit (2 are included) connects wirelessly to an app and sends an alert to our phones if it detects a water leak. Metal probe ‘feet’ on the bottom of the sensor will send a signal if water is detected. NOTE: However, this pack of 2 does not include the "gateway" needed to set up the app and a scan of their website does not offer a standalone gateway - have to purchase as part of a package. So unless you have the appropriate gateway, this 2-pak is pretty useless. Also, two plastic flathead tools come with to open up the battery compartment. Cheap solution as the plastic flathead got mangled trying to open and rendered useless. A regular screwdriver works better.

Great little water leak detector. Compact design works well for tight spaces like under sinks behind walls. Comes with batteries which is nice and has a loud enough alarm to hear even when tucked away. Comes with 2 in the package. Directions mention a "gateway" and plugging it into the wall as well as connecting to wifi. This must be a part you have to order separately though because one didn't come in the box. Still works without it from audible alarm on unit. From my understanding, the gateway just allows you to get leak detection alerts through an app on your phone.
