I could not get it to hold a towel. I tried several different ones and they slid off. I will return it.

This robe hook is very nice. The only issue we faced was the length of the set screws (way to attach hook to bracket). They were essentially too short to properly tighten to the wall bracket. Another 18 of an inch would have made the difference. Otherwise it is beautiful.
