This was just what I needed, but without the top step attached. A few years ago, I got a new brass bed, which ended up being higher than the previous one. So I managed to get in and out of bed with a lot of bounce and stretching. Then.... I had to have hip replacement. So, I needed a step in order to get in and out of bed safely, with a walker (later on a cane.) This stool works perfectly when I don't have the top step. By removing the top step, you can get closer to the bed to get on it. And, it's a big, wide heavy bottom that is secure, and doesn't move or flip when stepping on it. I bought this one to go with the rest of my bedroom furniture. So, if you need help getting into bed and you have to use a walker, this stool fits right in between the walker. I'm enclosing photos. Also, my husband put this together in 30 minutes. (Total with both steps). We later removed the top step, which is why you see a few white dots in the corners. Those are the plastic inserts that you pop the top step into. After I fully recover from hip replacement surgery, I'm still keeping this next to the bed. It's so much easier to get in and out now.
