I purchased this to replace a 30+ year old Braun coffeemaker that was still in great shape and working well until there was a tragic carafe accident. After looking at many different brands and models I came back to this Braun model for its design and compact size to fit in my kitchen cabinet when not being used. I've impressed by the attention to detail and the improvements in ease of use. It has more features than I'll ever likely use, but it does the basics well and without any fuss.

I’m disappointed with this grinder. Although it grinds ok, it is very messy and coffee grounds have to be cleaned after each grind. My original Braun grinder was much simpler and more efficient. Sadly the plastic casing cracked although the motor was still working. I hope Braun will make a simpler coffee grinder in the future.

I have been buying this coffee maker for years and love it. The only problem is that it doesn't seem to last very long, despite the regular care I give it, i.e., descaling when the light comes on and changing the water filters. And it gives NO warning when it decides to break. One morning I got up and NOTHING. I had power, it lit up and made the usual noises, but the water would not go into the brewer. More recently, I had one that would not hold water in the reservoir. I'd find water all over my countertop and on the floor the next morning. I'm still using it; just waiting until the morning to add the water. But I know its time is limited. Just seems it's a bit expensive to keep on breaking so regularly.

I just bought this a month ago. It seemed to be doing well. Seemed quieter than my other grinder which I liked. Anyhoo this morning I added some beans and pushed the button. It went for a second then quit. I cleaned out what I could by rotating the burrs and brushing out anything I could see. I added more bean and it worked for a second but back to the flashing green light. Now the Grinder Upper Group Assembly is stuck and I cannot get it out. So access is not possible. If anything is lodged there really isn't anyway to take apart all the pieces. Im super frustrated and cannot return the grinder because I lost the receipt. What a waste of money...

I have been constantly frustrated with this grinder stopping during operation. The machine starts making an annoying whining sound, and I have to stop it, give it a good shake, and restart it. This can happen two to three times during the grinding process.
