I purchased a toilet, pedestal, and sink (Oakmont Collection) several years ago and just loved the retro look and the higher profile of the seat. B8ut, alas, the love seemed to fade as the porcelain sink began showing grayish hairline cracks as though someone had drawn them with a pencil. I couldn't feel them even with a fingernail but they continued to grow in length and number until the entire sink was covered with them. These weren't caused by dropping anything on the sink or from overtightening the fixtures or lag screws that held it to the wall, or even chemicals used to clean the sink - all of which could cause cracks. It was simply thermal shock - that is filling the cold bowl on Winter mornings with very hot water in order to shave. The steel and porcelain react to temperature changes at different rates which causes the cracks. So my advice is to be kind to your sink and be gentle with it. Ande even then, cracks will eventually appear, but maybe a few more years down the road.

Purchased 4 of these. 2 for a master bath and 2 for a main bath. love them! easy clean and looks great!

Nice lines to the sink, for a top mounted fixture. Too often top mounts are static and boring, but this has an elegance about it.
